From Zero Hits to an All-Star: Three years ago, when my son Trenton was a 7 year old in Minor League, he had zero hits the entire season. One of the other 7 year old boys was really hitting the ball well, and I heard his mother mention that he had received a hitting lesson at Extra Innings. Later that summer, we enrolled our son in a baseball camp that was run by another local professional baseball organization. The camp was a huge disappointment. It was poorly organized, poorly managed, and did not fulfill the expectations that were advertised. Some of the parents at that camp told me how much better the camps at Extra Innings are, run by Matt Johnson. We decided to give Extra Innings a try, and joined that winter. We signed up for the March Hitting clinic and the April Vacation Baseball Clinic. I was extremely impressed with Matt and the other instructors at these clinics....they were so good at working with the kids. The instruction was top-notch. Trenton went on to have a very successful season and was even a starter on his league's All-Star team that year. We continued participating in Extra Innings clinics this past year and Trenton made his Little League 9-10 All-Star team as a 9 year old.

Extra Innings-Hagerstown, a year round facility is the greatest idea to hit the Hagers town/Tri- State area. Working out and training year round has been the missing element in the development of Baseball/Softball hopefuls in the area. I recommend the private lessons and clinics to all baseball enthusiasts. My son, Nick wanted to join Extra Innings to keep his hands on the ball after playing fall ball. We have been extremely satisfied with the knowledge and individualized professional instruction received at the facility. The staff is very friendly and encouraging. The facility has everything needed to improve a players skills’ with batting cages and tunnels that are prefect for hitting and pitching practices. The private lessons have been an added bonus for my son and they have really boosted his self esteem through all the positive encouragement. He enjoys working one on one with Matt Johnson, who has taught him drills he can use to better himself as a baseball player.
